“In topology knot theory is the study of mathematical knots which appear in daily life, such as those shoelaces and rope, a mathematical knot
differs in that the ends are joined so it can not be undone, the simplest knot being a ring. In mathematical language, a knot is an embedding of a circle in 3- dimensional Euclidean space.”
Knots are also seen in witchcraft. A witch ties the knots with intention and intention shall be realised.
In this work we see three different prime knots. One with three crossings (similar to triquetra), five crossings (similar to pentagram), seven crossings (similar to heptagram). Among with mathematical properties we observe magickal properties of these knots. The writing below explains specific significances of these shapes:
3- Triquetra appears in most spiritual teachings among witchcraft. The runes
pay respect to goddess Diana.
5- Pentagram; a controversial diagram pays homage to Pan.
7- Heptagram used in alchemy (amongst other teachings) refers to the seven planets and the seven alchemical substances: fire, water, air, earth, sulphur, salt and mercury.
